Highly recommend for great service, great location, clean/quiet/comfortable space at a great rate! I had a fantastic stay at The Beach Hostel and would absolutely stay again. The private room was perfect for my needs — comfortable bed, very clean bathroom, and I loved that the shower and toilet were separate. I was also pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a larger room. The staff and other guests were incredibly friendly and welcoming.. The morning coffee and mini pancakes are a delicious way to start the day! The location is excellent — just over a block from the beach. I especially appreciated being able to store my luggage after checkout, enjoy more beach time, then return to shower before my late flight. Highly recommend!

You get what you pay for. Rooms were decently clean, beds were a little uncomfortable and stiff(especially the pillow), if you’re on a top bunk it gets tedious going up and down every day. I’m aware that it can feel tight inside a hostel but the lack of space and courtesy from bunk mates makes it unbearable to be in the room sometimes. The hostel rooms could’ve definitely been more clean but surprisingly the bathrooms were well kept, like that should be the standard for any accommodation/hostel is cleanliness and it was a big turn off. They had someone come in the morning and clean them. Employees were friendly and helpful and there was always someone at the front desk to help me with hostel questions or about Waikiki. The best things about this hostel was the patio they had upstairs, very peaceful and they host activities up there. Another thing was they served breakfast in the common area for free, the common area has a sink and dishes that you can use, charging ports, and overall a good spot to chill and hang out with people. They do hold your luggage for you in this area, which seemed a little sketchy because your luggage is just sitting in this public common space. Another thing I liked was how easy it is to make friends, i met so many cool people and we planned get togethers around the island! Location is great and you can walk literally anywhere near waikiki. The location is inside an alley way which can feel a little sketch but only at night, but it was surprisingly quiet and not a lot going on at night. If it’s your first time staying in a hostel, I wouldn’t recommend this place and if you’re used to a hotel experience and the cleanliness I also wouldn’t recommend staying here. If you’re on a budget and want to stay near the beach and want to meet new people definitely stay here, but you get what you pay for. PRO: great location, affordable, meet new people | CON: not very clean, claustrophobic, you may get messy bunk mates

Perfect for the solo traveler! Super easy check in/out process and friendly staff. Locker storage seems a little unsecure at first, so bring a lock just to keep your mind at ease. Shower on the roof only does cold, but they have plenty of facilities to use. Would definitely recommend!!

The hostel is pretty close to the beach and stores, and it has a great location in Waikiki, that’s definitely its biggest highlight. The rooms are clean, but you don’t have much privacy. Some curtains on the beds would help a lot. The staff are amazing and friendly. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the chance to join the tours, but I heard they are awesome. It’s a place with a young vibe, so if you’re into that, it’s perfect for meeting and interacting with other people. However, if you’re more introverted and prefer to keep to yourself, it might not be the ideal place for you.

Excellent stay here, the staff was extremely helpful, they let us check in early after a long overnight flight. Coffee was a bonus and really good. Love that they have beach stuff to borrow! Also very close to the bus stop so easy to get around.
