Absolutely the best experience I have ever had in a hardware store in my life. Literally every member of the staff was so incredibly nice and super helpful. They helped me with an exchange of a compact dewalt impact driver for a better more high torque model (and I did not have a receipt because a friend got it for me to replace mine, I really thought that would be a problem but it wasn’t at all). Then 3 employees all helped locate the model I wanted because it said they had one in stock, we couldn’t find it, turned out to be the display model, but they had the box and everything that came with it and let me pay the difference in price and take that display model. They also have a really cool layout and lots of other cool stuff in there. Somehow my German shepherd convinced me into buying him some dog treats they have at the checkout. I can not speak highly enough about this store. I will probably never buy a tool from Home Depot or Lowe’s ever again.
This is the BEST hardware store anywhere in the area! They are so friendly and helpful with everyone who comes in the door. The store is full of knowledgeable employees who are always willing to help. I appreciate having this store in Keller. As a bonus, they have lots of fun little gifts, snacks, and collectibles in the front. Complete with fresh popcorn!
Jabo’s Ace is exactly what you want in a neighborhood hardware store. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and—unlike the big box stores—you can actually find someone who knows what they’re talking about and is happy to help. Yes, prices may be a bit higher on some items, but the expert advice and time saved more than make up for it. I’ve been dealing with an irrigation issue for nearly a year, and yesterday, a young associate helped me troubleshoot everything I had already tried and offered a new solution that finally worked. What a refreshing change of pace... after many disappointments at Home Depot, I came to Ace Hardware and 2 different employees went out of their way to help me - and guess what? They knew their stuff. They get my business going forward. Good customer services goes a long way.
Greeted politely as I entered, as usual. Check out folks are always friendly. But recently, I'm seeing new people working there and not the folks with whom I was familiar. New folks don't seem as knowledgeable. Prices are still higher than big box prices, but you probably have some products that the big box stores don't have, if that's important, but the deal breaker for us and the reason we'll seek out a different Ace (if needed at all), is finding out Jabo's panders unnecessarily. We don't give our limited $$s to businesses (of any kind) who pander, regardless of the group a business panders to. You're either a good business or you're not, be it a restaurant, a car dealer, a garden center or a hardware store. If you're "good", you'll likely succeed! I don't care what kind of business it is. When I find out you pander to any group, I'm gone. So...I'm gone. I'll go out of my way to avoid Jabo's from this point forward.
