I would give them 3.5 stars. Meal was good. Slow food delivery but we were told as.much which is ok by us others may prefer a bit more speed. I had a salad which was ok not great. The salmon was very savory and pretty good. My wife had chicken dish which my opinion was a bit salty, I do low salt others may enjoy. Service was good a bit salelsy. Our server recited a long specials list which went on for quite a bit. Clearly catering to tourists, we have tried basically every restaurant on Marco. This was more or less a if everything is booked they are a fairly decent choice.
The food and atmosphere were very disappointing. The space felt dingy, had an unpleasant odor, and was uncomfortably humid. That said, our waiter was excellent. An older gentleman that was kind, attentive, and the highlight of the experience. We ordered the large seafood sampler ($70), which included 4 shrimp, 4 oysters Rockefeller, 4 small stuffed mushrooms, and 4 clams. Everything was served on the same platter, causing the oil to pool at the bottom and affect all the items. The food appeared overly dark and tasted as if it had been reheated. Overall, the quality did not match the price, and the environment made it difficult to enjoy the meal. We chose not to order entrees. This place would benefit greatly from a remodel and a refreshed menu.
First time dining at Cafe de Marco and it was EXCELLENT!!! .Jose was our server and he was top shelf! We tried the lobster bisque 10/10, caprese salad 10/10, Sandy’s favorite salad 9/10, and the macadamia nut fresh catch which was Mahi Mahi 7/10. The fish was good but was a little dry. We added a few prawns to the fish and they were so good. I’ll securely be trying the House Specialty Jumbo prawn entree next time. The Santa margarita pinot Grigio is also one of our favorite white wines. We will definitely be back once we finish moving to the island. Super excited we found another great Marco restaurant!!!
I was blown away by the customer service here. We arrived right at closing time without realizing it after a hectic day dealing with our original hotel canceling our reservation and scrambling to find another place to stay. Thankfully, our new hotel was within walking distance of here. Despite us coming in so late, the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming to me and my children. The food came out quickly, was absolutely delicious, and they checked on us the perfect amount without being overbearing. After such a stressful day, their kindness honestly turned our night around. Highly recommend! Oh and the food was great and I was happy to see a children’s menu with REAL food on it
Think Manhattan kitchen talent and presentation of Florida fish house specialties. Wine and dine and take your time. Family operated ensures homemade tastes. So much good to say...lamb and steaks when you're ready
