Quick take on Chris Arthurs: Brilliant. And his staff are genuinely nice people. One example- in 2018, my long-time California CPA of many years missed a few key distinctions that Chris caught and saved me approximately $5000 when we filed an amended return after moving to SC. 2nd example- Then upon the sale of my business in 2023 he found another key facet that netted my wife and I an estimated $200,000 in tax savings vs. the advice of another Greenville guy who does taxes for some very wealthy clients. It was a nuanced but totally defensible viewpoint that the other guy missed involving original stock position vs. sale. Chris is a gifted CPA. He just talks as fast as he thinks sometimes ... so I have to concentrate;) Thanks to Chris and his whole team, we are glad they agreed to work on our finances!
I've worked with Arthurs and Company for years, at least as far back as 2016 when I spun my business out of a former partnership. I've had a great experience overall and would commend them to anyone else seeking an accounting partner for their business or personal accounting, tax preparation, or other needs.
Very poor experience. Took forever for someone to return emails. I paid them thousands of dollars and was just ignored. Had to pay a late fee to IRS because they failed to file in time. Small businesses should stay away. Found a much smaller CPA who saved me thousands. Don’t recommend at all.
Chris and team are extremely knowledgeable. After a free consultation, I switched to Arthurs and Company and definitely made the right decision. They now handle my personal and business taxes/accounting. The best thing about Chris is that he takes the time to explain what he recommends and what he is doing. I always feel like I know what is going on. I highly recommend them.
