James Beard Foundation Taste America Comes to Miami

The James Beard Foundation's Taste America culinary series makes its Miami stop on October 28, 2026, bringing three of the Foundation's TasteTwenty chefs together for a single collaborative dinner at the Wynwood Event Center.

A Collaborative Menu from Three Chefs

Raheem Sealey and Monika Dominguez of Shiso Miami join Sebastián Vargas of Los Félix, Krüs Kitchen and Füm for a multi-course dinner with wine pairings. The planned menu includes a catch-of-the-day crudo with soursop aguachile, a grass-fed beef short rib tamal with hazelnut-prune molé, a smoked oxtail course (with grilled oyster mushrooms as a vegan option), and a Baked Alaska for dessert.

Part of a National Series

Taste America is the James Beard Foundation's annual series celebrating independent restaurants across the country. Each stop pairs local TasteTwenty chefs, chosen to represent their home markets, for a one-night dinner built around collaboration rather than competition. The 2026-2027 series runs from September through March across cities including Detroit, Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle, Santa Fe, Houston and Nashville, with Miami as its South Florida stop.
